PAH Faculty Physician - Assistant Professor AC track Location: Philadelphia, PA Open Date: Aug 25, 2026 Deadline: Aug 25, 2028 at 11:59 PM Eastern Time The Department of Family Medicine and Community Health at thePerelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seekscandidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenureacademic clinician track. Applicants must have an M.D. orequivalent degree. Applicants must be Board Certified in FamilyMedicine. Fellowship training or a Certificate of AddedQualifications (CAQ) is not required. Applicant qualificationsinclude having a commitment to comprehensive Family Medicine acrossthe lifespan, enthusiasm for teaching residents and students, andcommitment to equitable, patient-centered care. Teaching responsibilities may include teaching and supervision ofFamily Medicine residents and medical students in the outpatientsetting. Participation in residency and medical student education.Opportunities for curricular leadership as your careerprogresses. Clinical responsibilities may include outpatient Family Medicine,providing care to a diverse patient population of all ages. Thepractice offers a broad scope of services, includinggender-affirming care, office-based procedures, addiction medicineservices, pediatric care and sports medicine. Additional clinicalopportunities for interested candidates might include: Dedicatedprenatal care sessions at an FQHC or within the Family Medicinepractice. Inpatient adult medicine on the Family Medicine teachingservice at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center. Teaching andsupervision in ambulatory, maternity, and inpatient settings.Clinical care at community partner sites such as West PhiladelphiaHigh School and FQHCs. This full-time faculty position is based at the department's centercity practice on the campus of Pennsylvania Hospital. This practiceprovides comprehensive primary care to patients of all ages as wellas gynecologic and other procedural care, care for individuals withopiate use disorder and LGBTQ+ oriented primary care services. Thisposition involves medical student teaching and could includeinpatient hospital medicine with our resident teaching service ifdesired by the candidate. Scholarship: Candidates on the Academic Clinician track are not required toengage in research or scholarship; however, scholarly activity isencouraged and supported.
