Warehouse Lead
The Warehouse Lead will be responsible for overseeing and guiding a team of production employees to achieve goals and maintain high standards of quality. This role will require a combination of technical expertise, leadership skills, and effective communication to drive team success.
Core functions include partnering with the leadership on employee scheduling, labor efficiency, work instructions, and throughput; collaborating with other area leads and supervisors to facilitate cross-training opportunities; implementing work instructions to ensure employee knowledge and accuracy is up to date; collaborating with purchasing, production scheduler, and shipping to monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels for all parts; effectively communicating maintenance issues and repair and replace consumables as needed; serving as a positive leader and mentor by exhibiting and instructing desirable behaviors and skill sets; serving as the initial point of contact and primary support resource for employees, functioning as the first line of defense in addressing and resolving various issues they may encounter; and performing other related or non-related duties as assigned through on-the-job training.
Qualifications and requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent and/or a combination of experience and education required, minimum of 2 years in manufacturing and/or distribution setting with some leadership responsibilities required, 3-5 years in years in manufacturing and/or distribution setting with some leadership responsibilities preferred. Required licenses are none. Travel is none. Supervisor responsibilities include leading a working team member who coordinates, supports, trains, and is a knowledge resource for other team members. No direct reports or supervisory responsibility. Physical requirements include being subject to Medium Work: Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 100 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 100 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical activities include climbing, balancing, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, crawling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions. Visual acuity includes having close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures, transcribing, viewing a computer terminal, expansive reading, visual inspection involving small defects, small parts and/or operation of machines (including inspection), using measurement devices, and/or assembly of fabrication of parts at distances close to the eyes. Working conditions include being subject to inside and outside environmental conditions, including heat, noise, vibration, and hazards from a production-based environment.
