Shipping And Receiving AssociateAssembles orders and prepares goods for shipment. Records shipment data, including weight, charges, and space availability. Completes shipping reports.Our Yukon, Pennsylvania location is looking for a Shipping and Receiving Associate to join our fast-paced logistics team. If you have a keen eye for detail, enjoy coordination complex shipments, and thrive under pressure, we want you as a part of our team!Essential Job Functions:Deliver clear instructions to check/loaders, contracted truck drivers, and OTR carriers.Coordinate and execute shipping schedules and dispatch local freight shipments.Collaborate with managers to ensure smooth coordination of production lines and timely product completion.Create shipping labels based on incoming paperwork and arrange shipment with carriers.Compare identifying information, counts, weights, and measurements of incoming and outgoing shipments against bills of lading, invoices, orders, and other records.Log and maintain an inventory of shipments while keeping a running total to monitor shipment completion and accuracy.Examine outgoing shipments to ensure they meet specifications and quality standards.Inspect incoming shipments-rejecting damaged items, recording shortages, and communicating with shippers to resolve discrepancies.Resolve outbound and incoming delivery issues with key stakeholders to maintain timely operations.Coordinate movements of trailers in conjunction with yard spotters.Assist with waste tracking and disposal procedures.Prepare business reports as needed and continuously update industry, professional, and technical knowledge.Experience:A couple years in shipping & receiving operations.Experience with SAP is required.0-2 years of experience in shipping and receiving.Previous exposure to logistics and manufacturing environments (preferred).Technical Skills:Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Education:High school diploma or equivalent.Associate's degree (preferred).Hours:Shifts available: 2nd shift 3pm-11pm.Some overtime may be required to meet business needs.If you're ready to contribute to a team that values your expertise and drive, seize this opportunity and join us at our Yukon, Pennsylvania location.
