Machine Operator 2

Shift: 3rd or 4th Shift Salary: $18.55/hour (plus $1.50 shift premium and up to $2,500 sign-on bonus)

Machine Operator 2 Role

This role exists to operate multiple production machines to manufacture high-quality components according to specifications. You are responsible for maintaining production flow while ensuring all parts meet strict quality tolerances.

Machine Operator 2 Responsibilities

• Operate multiple machines simultaneously to meet production targets

• Verify that machines run at the proper cycle times for maximum efficiency

• Use various gauges to ensure finished work pieces meet specified tolerances

• Set up and dismantle unit assembly and subassembly workstations

• Perform all Total Productive Environment (TPE) activities as required

• Follow standard work, control plans, and quality guidelines strictly

• Fit and assemble parts into complete assemblies as needed

• Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly work area at all times

• Communicate with other classifications regarding machine use and techniques

• Respond to internal and external customer needs with quality work

Machine Operator 2 Reporting Relationships

This position reports to the Production Supervisor and does not have any direct reports.

About You

• Possess a high school diploma or GED

• Maintain 18 years of age or older

• Demonstrate the ability to read and understand blueprints and control plans

• Show proficiency with measurement tools like measuring tapes and gauges

• Maintain the physical stamina to stand for 8-12 hours a day

• Exhibit the strength to frequently lift up to 50 lbs and occasionally 75 lbs

• Demonstrate flexibility and positive response to changes in technology or assignments

• Fluently speak and write English

• Work cooperatively and productively within a team environment
