Staff Nurse - Med Surg - 6&7 Lied Unit - Weekender Program

Shift Details Staff Nurse – Med Surg – 6/7 Lied Unit – Weekender Program (Full‑time, 36 hrs/week). Varied days and shifts. Benefits $15,000 sign‑on bonus Student Loan Repayment Program (up to $5,250 annually) Relocation support ($3,000 for adjoining states; $4,500 for non‑adjoining states) Duties Provide, prescribe, delegate, and coordinate nursing care with other health care providers to meet holistic care needs of a designated group of patients. Care may be long term, emergent, critical, acute, interventional, or procedural driven. Required Qualifications Registered Nurse (RN) with Associate’s degree in nursing or Nursing Diploma. Effective communication skills. Initiative, teamwork, and flexibility. Current registered nursing license in the state of Nebraska or valid compact license. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an AHA‑endorsed program. Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification (for ED, within 6 months of hire). Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (within 6 months of hire). Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) or Advanced Trauma Care for Nurses (ATCN) within one year of hire. Preferred Qualifications Direct patient care experience. Experience in cardiology, cardiac drip management, critical care, emergency department, medical‑surgical, obstetrics, cardiovascular rehabilitation, telemetry, oncology, neonatal intensive care, pediatric acute care, solid organ transplant, cath lab, EP lab, quality assurance, perioperative or special procedures. Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) or Master of Science in Nursing (MSN). Specialty training courses (e.g., STABLE, smoking cessation counseling, basic critical care). Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and email applications. Proficiency with departmental equipment and systems.
