Activities Director

Wellness DirectorThe Wellness Director is responsible for the overall supervision and coordination of the wellness program and meeting the social and wellness needs of the residents through planned wellness activities, exercise programming, leisure activities, and continued interaction with community groups.Manages the selection, training, development, and performance of assigned staff. Ensures financial viability of department, including the development, management, and accountability of budgets. Ensure departmental completion and implementation of the care plan and assessment process for all residents.Qualifications RequiredMust meet qualifications as required by federal regulations §483.15(f)(2) The activities program must be directed by a qualified professional who-- Is a qualified therapeutic recreation specialist or an activities professional who-- Is licensed or registered, if applicable, by the State in which practicing; andIs eligible for certification as a therapeutic recreation specialist or as an activities professional by a recognized accrediting body on or after October 1, 1990; orHas 2 years of experience in a social or recreational program within the last 5 years, 1 of which was full-time in a patient activities program in a health care setting; orIs a qualified occupational therapist or occupational therapy assistant; orHas completed a training course approved by the State.Valid Driver's license appropriate for the type of vehicle assigned to operateAcceptable driving record that meets Benedictine requirementsQualifications PreferredBachelor's Degree in Recreational Therapy, Exercise PhysiologyExperience in long term careManager experienceExperience coordinating volunteer programsBLS Certification.Salary Range $55,000-$66,560A robust benefits package is available to eligible associates, designed to meet the needs of every stage of life, including paid time off (PTO), retirement, medical, dental, vision, education assistance, and a variety of additional voluntary benefits.
