QA AnalystApex Systems has an opening for a QA Analyst with a client based in Knoxville, TN. This position will work on site in Knoxville, TN, but on a flexible schedule- you can expect weekly work from home days! If you have technical attention to detail, this position may be for you! The QA Analyst will ensure software and processes developed both internally and externally are tested for quality assurance (QA), perform as expected and meet specified objectives.Location: Knoxville, TN- Flexible onsite/WFH schedule.Duration: 6 month contract to hire.Interested candidates should be interested in, willing to, and capable of working onsite in Knoxville, TN.FunctionsOversee and assist with QA activities performed by internal or external testers to ensure that quality processes are maintained throughout projectsEnsure that requirement specifications and technical design documents are reviewed to identify appropriate QA testing for software and processesProvide estimates and schedules for QA testing and prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activitiesDevelop, maintain and execute detailed, comprehensive and well-structured manual test case scriptsExecute and record test runs, log and track bugs, enhancements and usability-related issues; share data with project team including vendorsCoordinate with business stakeholders, developers and other project resources to discuss issues identified during testing; prioritize and assign issues for resolution prior to project completionCollaborate and meet regularly with company business partners, team members, and vendors to identify and communicate end user needs for support documentation and trainingStage and prepare laboratory environments to simulate end user experience, develop and maintain test lab equipment, tools and other resources used during the testing phaseCoordinate with business users and other stakeholders to track effectiveness of patches, releases to correct issues, and end user acceptance testingModel behaviors that support the company's common purpose; ensure guests and team members are supported at the highest levelEnsure all activities are in compliance with rules, regulations, policies and proceduresComplete other duties as assignedQualificationsAssociate degree in computer science or computer engineering or equivalent related work experience or a minimum of five years operational or support experience within the company requiredMinimum three years testing experience requiredQuality assurance-related certification preferredRequired Skills: 2+ years of Manual QA testing experience. Experience developing, maintaining and executing detailed, comprehensive and well-structured manual test case scripts Experience executing, recording test runs, logging and tracking bugs, enhancements and usability-related issues; share data with project team including vendors. Experience with any Manual Test tool suit- Jira, ALM, QTP, ETC. Basic Qualification: Willing to work onsite in Knoxville TN up to 5 days a week. (flexible schedule but onsite work is expected). If candidates are not local to Knoxville, they must be willing to relocate to Knoxville at their own expense before day one. Willing and able to convert to FTE of our client after 6 months. (client will sponsor any visa)
