Quality Control Team Lead

$22.45 - $44.85 per hour

Abbott seeks a Quality Control Team Lead for its Infectious Disease division in South Portland, Maine. The role oversees QC technicians and ensures product quality compliance with FDA, ISO, and USDA standards through testing, batch record review, and team management on a second shift schedule.

Responsibilities

Oversee and coordinate Quality Control technicians while enforcing policies and work rules
Plan, assign, and direct daily QC lab activities and coordinate shift transitions
Review and approve manufacturing batch records and Standard Operating Procedures
Conduct in-process and final release testing on products
Train Quality Control technicians and mentor team members for professional development

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Life Sciences, or related technical field
3+ years of laboratory or Quality Control experience
Knowledge of GMP, FDA, ISO, and USDA regulations
Experience with enzyme and immunochromatographic assays
Proficiency in laboratory statistics and data analysis
Ability to perform troubleshooting and technical problem-solving

Compensation: $22.45 – $44.85/hour
