Star Lumber is currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our finance team. Accounts Receivable Responsibilities

· Monitor and manage customer accounts to ensure timely payments. 

· Process incoming payments, including checks, ACH, and credit card transactions.

· Investigate and resolve any discrepancies or billing issues. 

· Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all transactions and communications. 

· Collaborate with cross functional teams, including sales and customers, to resolve customer inquires and disputes.

· Set up new customer accounts coordinating with finance on credit terms. 

· Provide exceptional customer service and build strong relationships with customers. 

Requirements

· Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts receivable or similar role.

· High School Diploma or equivalent.

· Ability to approach and solve problems analytically.

· Experience working with strict deadlines.

· Ability to exercise sound judgment to facilitate solid business decisions.

· Professionalism, confidentiality, and the ability to build a positive rapport with others.

· Proficient in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).

What will put you ahead…

· Accounting or other finance work history.

· Experience working with Great Plains, BisTrak or RFMS software.
