Our Product Managers lead highly collaborative creative endeavors, bringing together stakeholders across engineering, design, data services, operations, and customer-facing teams to deliver tangible value. By joining us, you'll be part of an experienced team of Product Managers who have a proven track record of building large-scale software products that impact small businesses worldwide.About the roleWe’re looking for a Product Operations Manager who brings product thinking to the internal systems that power our Product organization. This is a highly leveraged, builder-oriented role focused on how work gets done – not just what gets built.You’ll operate across domains (FinTech, Healthcare, HR Tech), partnering closely with Product, Engineering, Design, and GTM teams to identify where friction exists in how we plan, build, and scale. Rather than managing processes, you’ll design and implement the infrastructure – tooling, workflows, and knowledge systems – that makes great product work repeatable across the organization.Care is central to how Justworks operates, and here, that extends to how we support our own teams. You’ll help ensure that PMs and cross-functional partners can spend more time on high-judgment work and less on coordination overhead, by building systems that are intuitive, scalable, and increasingly AI-native.While this role is primarily operational, there will be moments where you step into a PM mindset – particularly when building internal tools and systems. You’ll define problems, design solutions, and iterate based on feedback, just as you would for a customer-facing product – with the product organization itself as your user.ResponsibilitiesOwn and evolve the product development lifecycle as a system – using AI to diagnose breakdowns, redesign workflows, and continuously improve how we buildBuild AI-powered workflows that reduce the administrative layer of product work – including spec-to-GTM translation, synthesis of customer signals, QA scenario generation, and automated progress reportingBuild and maintain the product organization’s knowledge layer and sources of truth – including roadmap data, decision logs, and project status – structured for both human and AI consumptionOwn and evolve the product tooling ecosystem – driving consistency, standardization, and thoughtful adoption across teamsDrive adoption, enablement, and upskilling across the Product organization – ensuring teams effectively use the systems, tools, and AI workflows you buildScale what works – identify high-impact workflows and patterns emerging within teams and turn them into shared standards through tooling, documentation, and enablementOwn PM hiring infrastructure and product ops metrics – including hiring design and onboarding, and defining and tracking the metrics that inform product leadership decisionsWhat you'll needYou’re a builder who applies product thinking to internal systems. You’re comfortable working across the Product organization and partnering with leadership to turn fragmented ways of working into scalable, durable infrastructure.5+ years in product operations, product management, strategy/operations, or a related role — with a track record of building systems and tooling, not just managing processesDeep fluency with AI as a core part of your workflow — you use it instinctively in your own work and know how to design systems that meaningfully leverage itStrong product judgment applied internally — you approach operational problems with the same rigor as customer-facing ones, with a bias toward simple, scalable solutionsHigh data fluency — able to define meaningful metrics, instrument systems, and translate insights into actionStrong systems thinking — you can distinguish between process issues and structural problems, and know when to optimize vs redesignClear, direct communication — able to surface what’s working and what isn’t, and influence across teams, including senior leadershipNice to haveExperience building or scaling a product organization’s operating system (e.g., PDLC, knowledge management, tooling, hiring, onboarding)Experience in a high-growth environment, ideally within a regulated domain (fintech, healthcare, HR tech)The base wage range for this position based in our New York City Office is targeted at $131,000.00 to $169,000.00 per year.#LI-RG1#LI-HybridActual compensation is based on multiple factors that are unique to each candidate, including and not limited to skill set, level of relevant experience, and specific work location.
