Clinician - Intimate Partner Violence (IPV)
Location: Brooklyn, NY
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-5:00 PM or 10:00 AM-6:00 PM
Salary: $70,000-$75,000/year
Employment Type: Full-Time
We are seeking a Clinician specializing in Intimate Partner Violence (IPV) to provide clinical expertise and support to a Child Protective Services (CPS) team in Brooklyn. This role will work directly with families involved with ACS, helping assess their needs, connect them with appropriate services, and ensure they receive individualized, supportive care.
The clinician will collaborate closely with ACS staff, community providers, and internal teams to strengthen family outcomes and promote child safety. This position requires regular in-person work at an ACS field office and within the Brooklyn community.
Responsibilities- Provide direct clinical services to families referred through Child Protective Services, including comprehensive assessment of family needs.
- Serve as an Intimate Partner Violence subject-matter expert during planning conferences and case discussions.
- Partner with the Access and Referral Department to ensure internal and external referrals are individualized and appropriate for each family's needs.
- Facilitate warm handoffs to community-based providers and other support services.
- Provide clinical guidance, consultation, and support to ACS CPS staff.
- Facilitate trainings for clinical teams and ACS CPS staff on IPV and related clinical topics.
- Participate in relevant internal and external meetings.
- Provide after-hours clinical consultation and coverage as needed.
- Maintain a healing-centered, family-driven, and anti-oppressive approach when working with families.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Must hold an active clinical license ; Limited Permits are not accepted. Qualifying licenses may include LMSW, LMFC, LCAT, or LMHC .
- Demonstrated experience and expertise working with families impacted by Intimate Partner Violence (IPV) .
- Experience and comfort utilizing evidence-based clinical models and multiple assessment measures.
- Strong commitment to a healing-centered, family-driven, and anti-oppressive approach to practice.
- Highly organized and self-motivated, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and competing demands.
- Creative problem-solver who anticipates challenges and actively seeks opportunities for collaboration.
- Familiarity with Connections .
- Strong communication, clinical judgment, and collaboration skills.
- Authorized to work in the United States.
- Ability to work in an ACS field office in Brooklyn .
- Ability and willingness to travel throughout the Brooklyn community for family visits and community-based work.
- Experience collaborating with ACS, CPS, or other child welfare systems is a plus.
