As an Unarmed Security Officer, you are an integral part of the broad spectrum of specialized security services Inter-Con provides its clients every day./ppJob Description/pulliMonitors entrances and exits; acts to prevent unauthorized entry; controls entrances, the movement of people and vehicles and parking; operates gate and examines vehicle contents; monitors remote entrances using closed circuit television; and operates remote access devices./liliPatrols assigned site on foot or in vehicle to ensure a secure work environment; checks for unsafe conditions. Hazards inspect High Risk areas, unlocked doors, security violations, blocked ingress and egress, mechanical problems, and unauthorized persons; inspects buildings and grounds using appropriate equipment and protective gear./liliPrepares logs or reports as required for site; writes or types reports or enters information in a computer using standard grammar; inspects security control logs and takes required action as required by Clients Global Security standards./liliProtects evidence or scene of incident in the event of accidents, emergencies, or security investigations, sets up barriers and signage and provides direction or information of others./liliResponds to incidents of fire, medical emergency, bomb threat, flooding, water discharge, elevator emergency, hazardous materials, inclement weather, and other incidents or conditions following procedures established for the site and commensurate with their level of training./liliMaintains Basic First Aid and CPR certifications./liliActs to ensure that all property removal is conducted within appropriate policy requirements./liliIssues necessary Hot Work Permits./liliCarries out all responsibilities in an honest, ethical and professional manner./liliCommunicate in a manner that is open, honest and responsive in all situations; to the extent authorized./li/ulpWork Environment and Schedule/pulliJob operates in client sites which could be indoors or outdoors./liliPosition requires prolonged standing and walking, in the performance of daily security activities./liliOpen availability Nights, Weekends, Holidays and overtime as directed(overtime occurs)./liliWork various shifts and Holidays as assigned./li/ulpVeterans/ppInter-Con is passionate about hiring veterans.
