Key Responsibilities

• Hold shift accountability for providing care to Emergency Room patients utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and facility policy and procedures
• Demonstrate critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, and leadership in the anticipation and planning for safe delivery of patient care in the Emergency Department
• Maintain clinical competencies through continuing education
• Delegate patient care priorities commensurate with the education and experience of available staff
• Provide direction and supervision of assigned personnel delivering patient care

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in the state of Texas
• Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• PALS certification required
• TNCC certification required
• Stroke certification required
• Navy scrubs required for this assignment

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a high-volume or Level II/III Emergency Department setting
• Strong ability to adapt quickly to new facility environments and workflows
