Overview Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Phoenix, Arizona. This position requires candidates to demonstrate at least 2 years of Emergency Room (ER) experience, including a minimum of 6 months of Trauma Level 1 experience. The role involves working night shifts with a 12-hour schedule. Candidates are expected to bring their license on the first day of assignment. Qualifications & Requirements Valid license to submit; minimum of 2 years of ER experience including trauma experience Certifications: BLS , ACLS , and PALS Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, with 4 weekend shifts per month Float Policy: Float within the ER can be between four facilities located approximately 30 minutes apart; travel teams must have their own vehicles Additional Information: All Registered Nurses will complete SIMs Lab assessments for Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes, with specific requirements based on clinical unit Charge nurses will manage light patient loads; nurse aides handle sitters Patient population includes trauma, burns, and pediatric patients transferred out Must be able to read Phillips monitors; vent management by in-house hospitalists or intensivists Fast-paced environment with a patient volume of approximately 250-300 patients daily Must be comfortable with maintaining sterile fields, lifts, restraints, and wound care per hospital standards Benefits Private housing or generous housing allowance Comprehensive health insurance with prescription coverage Dependent health insurance with prescription coverage Competitive salaries Referral bonuses Travel reimbursement 401(k) retirement plan Direct deposit/free checking Unlimited free CE credits Cross Country Job ID #1265117.
