Volunteer Event Coordinator

South Project is a nonprofit dedicated to empowering young moms through mentorship, resources, and community support. We are looking for a volunteer Event Coordinator to by assisting to plan and organize in-person events that engage community members, raise awareness, and further the organization’s mission.

What You'll Do:

• Your main assigned task at first will be helping coordinate our February fundraising gala.
• Assist in planning and coordinating events such as fundraisers, workshops, and community gatherings.
• Manage event logistics, including scheduling, registration, and follow-up communications.
• Collaborate with staff and volunteers to develop event agendas, speakers, and promotional strategies.
• Create event materials such as digital flyers, invitations, and social media posts.
• Serve as a point of contact for event participants, providing clear instructions and timely communication.
• Collect feedback from attendees and assist with event evaluation reports.
• Promote accessibility and inclusivity in all events.

Time Commitment:

• Flexible, remote role, preference to candidates in the Houston, TX area
• Estimated 3-5 hours per week
