Tigg's Canteen Services is hiring a Permanent Part-Time Lead Cook at Ingham County Jail in Mason, MI. We are looking for a reliable, hardworking individual who brings integrity, a positive attitude, and a strong work ethic to the kitchen every day.

Your Responsibilities

In this position, you will help keep kitchen operations running smoothly by:

Preparing meals and assisting with cooking and baking.
Leading, instructing, and assisting with daily food preparation.
Following company recipes and established procedures.
Maintaining a clean and organized kitchen, including completing cleanup duties.
Working effectively within a structured correctional facility.

Qualifications & Requirements

We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate the following:

High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to work well in a structured correctional environment.
Ability to follow company recipes and instructions.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Availability to work weekends and holidays.
Flexibility to work varying days and shifts between 7:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m.
Ability to obtain the required facility clearance.

No previous kitchen experience? No problem! Food service experience is helpful, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
