Overview
Sonographer, cardiovascular and non-invasive ultrasound, in San Luis Obispo, California. This travel assignment begins 09/28/2026 and runs for 8 weeks. Weekly pay ranges from $2,460 to $2,501 per week, with guaranteed hours of 36 per week. The shift is 3x12-hour days (7:00 AM–7:30 PM) in a short-term acute care hospital setting.

Responsibilities
- Perform cardiovascular ultrasound studies including M-Mode with calculations, 2-D views, and Doppler echo with analysis; document all data per protocol.
- Obtain, measure, and interpret data across adult, pediatric, and neonatal exams; tailor images to age-specific needs (e.g., pediatric echo considerations).
- Conduct peripheral vascular examinations (arterial and venous, segmental pressures, ankle–brachial indexes, carotid ultrasound) as part of comprehensive vascular assessment.
- Perform additional functional tests when needed (tilt table exams, treadmills, 24-hour Holter monitors, and pharmacologic studies) and ensure data quality.
- Precept new staff and mentor colleagues as assigned; maintain current knowledge of cardiovascular imaging techniques.
- Maintain accurate documentation and data entry in the patient record and reporting systems.

Requirements
- Licenses/Certifications: RDCS or equivalent (CCI-RCS) required; RVT or equivalent (CCI-RVS) required; Pediatric Echocardiography (PE) required; Fetal Echocardiography (FE) preferred; Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
- Nursing licensure: Current nursing license per the state of assignment.
- Experience: Two years of recent cardiac ultrasound experience or completion of a one-year certified cardiac ultrasound course (preferred); two years of vascular ultrasound experience (preferred).
- Pediatric and/or fetal echo experience (preferred).
