Remote/Hybrid Medical Billing Specialist - Missouri Residents Only

C&S has an immediate opening for a full-time, remote/hybrid Medical Billing Specialist in Jefferson City. Must reside in Missouri.

Salary/hours for Medical Billing Specialist: $18.50/hr.; Monday-Friday 8 a.m.-5 p.m.

Responsibilities:

• assisting providers and customers with concise interpretation and explanation of complex claims data
• communicating knowledge of MO HealthNet policies, regulations and procedures 
• responding to phone, mail and email inquiries

• must reside in Missouri 
• Remote:  Candidates who live more than 50 miles from Jefferson City, Missouri, may work fully remote.
• Hybrid: Candidates who live within a 50-mile radius of Jefferson City, Missouri , will work a hybrid schedule consisting of 3 days remote and 2 days in the office each week
• Must be familiar with ICD codes and medical terminology/coding concepts .
• at least 2 years' experience in one or more of the following (healthcare provider relations, healthcare patient relations, insurance claims processing, medical billing, medical diagnostic and procedure coding)
• excellent communication and customer service skills
• previous knowledge of MO HealthNet policies, regulations and procedures preferred
