Forklift Operator / Production Associate Key Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to transport raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods safely within the facility.
• Run production and packaging machinery in accordance with established operating procedures and safety standards.
• Set up, monitor, and make adjustments to production and packaging equipment to ensure efficient operations.
• Perform quality checks and inspections on products and packaging to maintain company and food manufacturing standards.
• Accurately label products and verify required information before shipment.
• Package finished products according to specifications, including sealing, wrapping, palletizing, and carton packing.
• Utilize RF scanners and inventory management tools to track, verify, and pick materials.
• Support shipping and receiving activities, including loading/unloading trucks and validating inventory counts and documentation.
• Troubleshoot minor equipment and process issues and escalate complex concerns when necessary.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while adhering to safety protocols and PPE requirements.
• Collaborate with supervisors and team members to achieve production targets and operational goals.
• Follow company policies, quality standards, and standard operating procedures consistently.
• Perform physically demanding tasks, including standing, walking, lifting, bending, and moving materials throughout the shift.

Required Skills & Experience

• Previous forklift operating or material handling experience.
• Manufacturing, production, warehouse, packaging, or related industry experience preferred.
• Ability to safely operate production equipment and machinery.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
• Experience performing quality inspections and basic quality control activities.
• Familiarity with forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment.
• Experience using RF scanners or inventory tracking systems.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Physical capability to stand, lift, bend, and perform repetitive tasks during 12-hour shifts.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in food manufacturing or injection molding environments.
• BG in packaging operations, labeling, and machine operation.
• Knowledge of quality assurance and inspection processes.
• Flexibility to train on day shift and transition to assigned shift schedules.
• Willingness to work a rotating 12-hour 2-2-3 schedule.
• No formal certifications required.

Work Environment & Schedule

• Clean, modern manufacturing facility with a strong focus on safety and organization.
• 12-hour rotating shifts (2-2-3 schedule), with primary hours from 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM.
• Initial training conducted on day shift.
• PPE required, including steel-toe footwear.
• Physically active role involving standing, walking, lifting, and equipment operation throughout the shift.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bethlehem, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
