Our family of brands provide filmmaking equipment rentals for lenses, cinema cameras, grip, and lighting, stage facilities for filming, and much more.Job ScopeOperate standard tooling machinery and assemble precision optical lenses.Key ResponsibilitiesMachine lens components according to engineering blueprints.Assemble lenses in compliance with Panavision specifications and quality standards.Design and fabricate tooling fixtures required for lens manufacturing.Modify existing components using conventional machining methods.Collaborate with the Optical department to troubleshoot issues.Perform daily machine cleaning and basic maintenance.Complete additional tasks and assignments as needed.Skills and Experience RequiredSolid understanding of optical manufacturing processes.Knowledge of optical testing and measurement equipment.Extensive experience operating manufacturing machinery and related tools.Familiarity with materials used in lens production.Understanding of safety protocols related to machinery operation.Strong communication and organizational skills.Ability to interpret complex mechanical and optical drawings.Flexibility to adapt to changing daily work requirements.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.Ability to maintain tight tolerances.Ability to meet strict deadlines and produce lenses in a timely manner.Work Environment and Physical DemandsThis position operates within a professional office environment. The physical requirements outlined below represent those necessary to perform the essential functions of the role. Employees must regularly communicate clearly and effectively. The role frequently requires standing, walking, and the use of hands and arms for various tasks. Employees may also be required to lift products or equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.Position Type/Expected Hours of WorkPrompt and regular attendance is required. Employees are expected to begin work at the start of their scheduled shift and to complete their assigned duties throughout the full workday.
