Job Title: Sr. Process Engineer (2nd shift)
Location: Pittsburgh, PA Area
Duration: 6+ Month Contract
Job Type: W2

Role Summary:
Senior-level Process Engineer responsible for independently supporting mechanical assembly activities on the night shift. The role requires strong mechanical aptitude, experience with large mechanical systems and automated equipment, and the ability to troubleshoot production issues while ensuring assemblies meet engineering drawings and specifications.

Important Duties:

Read and interpret mechanical prints, engineering drawings, CAD files, and assembly documentation.
Lead and support mechanical assembly of large systems and pack-line equipment.
Troubleshoot mechanical systems, automated equipment, downtime events, and recurring production issues.
Monitor OEE, yield, cycle time, downtime, and other production metrics to identify bottlenecks.
Improve process flow, assembly methods, ergonomics, equipment reliability, and production efficiency.
Apply continuous-improvement and problem-solving methods to improve manufacturing processes.
Review CAD designs and provide actionable mechanical/design feedback to engineering teams.
Apply industrial and mechanical design principles to assembly and manufacturing activities.
Document overnight production issues, corrective actions, and outstanding items for day-shift teams.
Communicate clear handoffs to manufacturing, engineering, and quality teams.
Support production-line ramp-up, troubleshooting, and process optimization.
AutoCAD experience is a plus.

Must-Have Skills:

Senior-level Process/Manufacturing Engineering experience.
Strong mechanical assembly and troubleshooting experience.
Experience with large mechanical systems and automated manufacturing equipment.
Ability to read mechanical drawings, prints, CAD files, and assembly documentation.
Experience with OEE, yield, cycle time, and downtime metrics.
Strong problem-solving and continuous-improvement skills.
Ability to work independently on the night shift.
