About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President, In-House Counsel to join their team. The successful candidate will be a trusted advisor on a range of legal matters, including intellectual property, litigation, regulatory, and compliance issues. Key responsibilities for this role include leading the company's intellectual property strategy, managing a diverse portfolio of litigation, and providing legal guidance on regulatory and compliance matters that impact retail operations. The role also involves advising on new product launches, promotional campaigns, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws to minimize legal risk. Applicants must have a Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school, active bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction, and a minimum of 8 years' legal experience, with a preference for a combination of law firm and in-house experience. Significant experience in handling intellectual property matters, managing litigation, and working with outside counsel is essential. Experience in the retail industry is a plus. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, have excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a dynamic environment.
