Bring your expertise and passion for helping students thrive to a dynamic educational environment as a Physical Therapist on a contract basis. You’ll play a crucial role in supporting student achievement and well-being through innovative therapy and personalized care. This opportunity is located near Mattawan, MI, with flexible scheduling options to accommodate both part-time and full-time availability.
Key Qualifications:
- Licensed Physical Therapist (PT) in Michigan, or eligible for state licensure
- Previous experience in a school setting is valued, but therapists from pediatric, outpatient, or acute care backgrounds are encouraged to apply
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with students, staff, and families
- Ability to develop individualized therapy plans and monitor progress
- Commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive environment for students of varying abilities
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations to assess students’ physical development and functional capabilities
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that align with educational goals
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and support staff to optimize student participation in school activities
- Document therapy sessions, progress, and outcomes in accordance with school policies and regulations
- Educate and train staff and caregivers on exercises or accommodations to encourage carryover into classrooms and homes
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expertise to multidisciplinary teams
