Registered Nurse (RN) Clinical Supervisor- Pediatric Extended Care

Department: 01450 GCMG Pediatric Extended Care: Concord - Pediatrics: General. Status: Full time. Hours per week: 40. Schedule: Evening and weekend supervision. Eligible for benefits: Yes. Pay range: $41.10 - $61.65. Work location: Atrium Health Levine Children’s Pediatric Extended Care, Concord, NC. The unit offers comprehensive quality health care and patient education to children and adolescents from newborns to teenagers. Hours: Monday through Friday 5pm‑8pm and Saturdays 8am‑8pm. Qualifications Completion of an accredited or approved nursing program. Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices. BSN required. RN candidates for external hire or internal promotion without a BSN must be enrolled in a BSN program within 1 year of hire/transfer and must complete it within 3 years. Appropriate professional certification (clinical or leadership) required within 1 year of eligibility for the professional certification exam. Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association. Minimum two (2) years nursing experience preferred. Previous management experience preferred. Responsibilities Direct provision of patient care and assistance with daily operations—including coordination of patient care/outcomes, allocation of human and fiscal resources, communication, patient throughput, program development and oversight, patient, physician, and employee rounding, staff selection, development, and retention, clinical supervision, performance appraisal, performance improvement activities, service recovery, and compliance with regulatory agency requirements. Support the manager using systematic approaches to enhance the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice, nursing service administration, and delivery of care in the department. Perform nursing care, assist with treatments, therapies, procedures, and administer medications as necessary. Coordinate management of patient flow/throughput and staffing through continuous assessment of volume/acuity needs, utilizing available resources to provide appropriate staffing resources. Compensation Base compensation is within the listed pay range based on qualifications, skills, relevant experience, and training.
