Duties

• Operate heavy equipment such as cranes, forklifts, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and RF scanners to load, unload, and transport materials safely across the warehouse.
• Perform order picking using pickers and other warehouse management systems to fulfill customer orders accurately and efficiently.
• Manage shipping and receiving activities by verifying incoming shipments, preparing outbound loads, and ensuring proper documentation.
• Conduct heavy lifting tasks while adhering to OSHA safety standards to prevent injuries and maintain a safe working environment.
• Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues and perform routine maintenance on forklifts, cranes, and other machinery.
• Assist with materials handling operations involving construction supplies or heavy inventory items requiring specialized equipment like clamp trucks or load & unload procedures.
• Support warehouse supervision by maintaining organized storage areas, conducting safety inspections, and following warehouse procedures for inventory control.

Skills

• Proven experience in warehouse distribution, order picking, shipping & receiving, and materials handling.
• Certification or experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, cranes, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and load & unload machinery.
• Familiarity with OSHA safety regulations related to warehouse operations and heavy equipment use.
• Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues quickly and effectively.
• Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanners, and other digital tools for inventory control.
• Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting tasks and extended periods of standing or walking throughout the shift.
