Job Summary:
Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) Registered Nurse (RN) position is located in Plattsburgh, New York. This assignment involves night shifts with a schedule of 12 hours per shift and a minimum of 36 hours per week. The role is for a duration of approximately 13 to 16 weeks, starting on August 10, 2026. The RN will be assigned to the float team, providing care in a well-equipped facility requiring independent nursing skills and adherence to all clinical protocols.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights, 12 hours per shift, minimum 36 hours per week, from 08/10/2026 for approximately 13-16 weeks.
• Required Qualifications: Certification in American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA BLS), American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (AHA ACLS), and National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) required; NIHSS must be completed before start. Minimum of 1 year telehealth experience. Experience with insulin drips, cardiac drips, starting IVs, and post-cardiac catheterization care. Epic electronic medical record experience from within the past 2 years is mandatory. NY license, or proof of application, must be submitted at the time of application.
• Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience at a comparable health care facility, particularly within the PCU or IMCU setting. Strong independent nursing skills with recent EMR experience.
• Additional Information:
  • This position requires all work history details (bed count, EMR, facility type, etc.) to be fully documented.
  • Public transportation is not accessible in this area; personal or rental vehicle recommended. Vehicles should be equipped with all-season or snow tires during November through April.
  • No block scheduling; bi-weekly orientations scheduled on Mondays, next being 08/24/2026.
  • All employment gaps exceeding 90 days must be explained.
  • The facility is part of a float team; flexibility for varied schedules is essential.
