Tenure-Track Clinical Professor/ Clinical Associate Professor/ Clinical Assistant Professor (several posts) in the School of Public Health The University of Hong Kong Applications are invited for appointment as Tenure-Track Clinical Professor/ Clinical Associate Professor/ Clinical Assistant Professor (several posts) in the School of Public Health (Ref.: 537128), to commence as soon as possible on a four-year fixed-term contract, with the possibility of renewal, and consideration for tenure before the expiry of a second four-year fixed-term contract, subject to satisfactory performance. Exceptionally outstanding candidates may be considered for appointment on tenure terms. Applicants should possess a primary medical qualification registrable in Hong Kong and a specialist qualification in Public Health Medicine (F.H.K.A.M. (Community Medicine)) or equivalent (e.g. F.F.P.H., F.A.F.P.H., F.R.C.P.(C) in Community Health, American Board certification in Preventive Medicine, etc.). They should demonstrate (i) proven ability to conduct quality research, publish in high-quality journals, and gain regional and international recognition for scholarship and professional expertise in public health practice initiatives; (ii) a track record or a strong commitment to teaching students at both undergraduate (especially MBBS) and postgraduate levels; and (iii) teaching and leadership in professional education programmes or community engagement. The appointees are expected to conduct independent and collaborative scholarly research, publish research articles in high-impact journals, and attract competitive grants to maintain active research programmes; take part in teaching undergraduate (especially MBBS) and postgraduate programmes, and supervise research postgraduate students; contribute to teaching and coordinating professional education programmes; conduct impactful community public health and knowledge exchange programmes, and perform administrative duties. The appointment rank will be determined based on qualifications and experience of the successful candidate.
