Full-Time School Facilities Technician: Maintenance & HVAC

Job Goal: 1. To provide students with a safe , attractive, comfortable, clean and efficient place in which to learn and develop. Performance Responsibilities:

1. Cleans classroom floors daily and dusts furniture.
2. Cleans corridors after school each day, and during the day when their condition requires it.
3. Scrubs and disinfects toilet floors daily, and cleans all sanitary fixtures and drinking fountains daily.
4. Keeps all floors inclean and attractive condition and in a good state of preservation.
5. Cleans all classroom writing surfaces at least once a week.
6. Makes minor building repairs.
7. Reports major repairs needed promptly to the principal and Building & Grounds Director.
8. Reports immediately to the principal any damage to school property.
9. Assumes responsibility for the opening and closing of the building each school day and for determining, before leaving that all doors and windows are secured, and all lights, except those left on for safety reasons, are turned off.
10. Moves furniture or equipment within buildings as required for various activities and ad directed by the principal.
11. Complies with local laws and procedures for the storage and disposal of trash, rubbish and waste.
12. Able to physically lift in excess of fiftypounds, move equipment, unload supplies and climb ladders.

2. Highly-Preferred Maintenance skills - HVAC , painting, plumbing, electric, CDL license
