West Valley Internal Medicine and Pediatrics office looking for a Front Office/Back Office Medical Assistant Float

Are you looking for a low stress office environment? We are a small private practice with a family like atmosphere. Friendly patients, staff, and providers make for a great work environment!

This position is full-time Mondays through Thursdays 7:30am-5:30pm, and on Fridays 7:30am-12:00pm. Main duties would be Front Office Administration with back office coverage as needed.

Front Office Duties Include but are not limited to-

Answering telephones

Scheduling appointments

Taking Phone Messages

Patient Call backs

Telehealth administration

Referrals and Prior Authorizations

Fax inbox

Verifying Insurance

Checking in Patients

Scanning in Patient Documents

Medical Records

Back Office Duties Include but are not limited to-

Rooming patients and obtaining vitals including newborn and pediatric vitals

Assisting with Well Woman Exams

Vaccine and injectable medication Administration

VFC

EKG

Urinalysis

Covid/Flu/Strep Testing

Hemoglobin testing

Candidate Requirements -

MUST have a bubbly personality. Think Disney!

Medical Office Experience Preferred
Electronic Medical Records Experience - Eclinicalworks a plus!
1 yr or more relevant experience required.
Great Computer skills
Knowledge of basic office equipment

This position requires a candidate who is personable, has great phone skills, has great critical thinking skills, is able to multi task, is organized, is a self starter, is able to handle multiple responsibilities, is great with pediatric patients, is computer literate, and has a great personality.

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Required)

Experience:

• EMR systems: 1 year (Preferred)
• Medical office: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Certified Medical Assistant Degree (Preferred)
