Description

American Traveler is hiring a Sonographer for an Ultrasound unit requiring BLS, ARDMS-Vascular, and ARDMS-General or OBGYN certification with at least 1 year of core experience.

Details

• Small 2-bed Ultrasound unit, with additional portable exams performed throughout the hospital
• OB and General patient population
• 1:1 patient ratio
• Evening shift, Sunday-Thursday 4:30pm-12:00am, 35 hours per week
• Call required 1-2 nights per week with a 1:6 weekend call rotation and 45-minute response time
• Holiday call coverage required every other holiday
• EPIC EMR used
• Philips ultrasound equipment used, experience preferred

Requirements

• Active BLS certification required
• ARDMS - Vascular certification required
• ARDMS - General or ARDMS - OBGYN certification required
• Active license required if applicable
• Minimum 1 year of core experience in OB and General ultrasound within the last year
• Experience with carotid arteriogram, vascular iliac vein duplex, vascular lower extremity, vascular ultrasound, and venous insufficiency
• Candidate's middle name/initial, date of birth, and last 4 of SSN required for consideration
• Minimum 1 professional reference dated within the last year from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN

Additional Information

• Work alongside other sonographers and a unit supervisor, with additional support available from Southern Lakes
• No floating required outside the unit
• Candidates with 1 year of experience will be considered, but first-time travelers will not be accepted
• Any scrub color accepted

• Local candidates accepted at the same rate with no radius restrictions
• Former Advocate Health employees must be separated from the organization for at least 12 months before being eligible for travel assignments
