Key Responsibilities\n- \n
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate student mental health, focusing on the severity and duration of symptoms related to mood disorders. \n
- Develop individualized treatment plans collaboratively with students, taking into account their personal goals, cultural backgrounds, and preferences. \n
- Implement evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help students manage their mood disorders effectively. \n
- Provide psychoeducation to students and their families regarding mood disorders, treatment approaches, and self-care techniques, ensuring everyone is empowered in the recovery process. \n
- Regularly monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as needed to facilitate optimal outcomes. \n
- Work synergistically with psychiatrists and other healthcare providers to create a cohesive care strategy for students. \n
- Engage in continual professional development by attending relevant workshops and staying updated on the latest research regarding mood disorders. \n
- Maintain thorough and confidential documentation of therapy sessions, assessments, and treatment plans, adhering to ethical and legal standards. \n
- Act as an advocacy voice for students’ mental health needs, working to destigmatize mental health challenges among peers and faculty. \n
You will work primarily with school-age children and adolescents dealing with mood disorders such as depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. This demographic often faces unique challenges that require empathy, creativity, and adaptability in therapeutic approaches. Your work directly impacts their academic performance and personal development.
Qualifications\n- \n
- A Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field is required; a Licensure as a Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) is mandatory. \n
- At least three years of relevant experience in clinical counseling, ideally with a focus on mood disorders. \n
- Proficiency in evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including but not limited to CBT and DBT. \n
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to establish rapport with students and families from diverse backgrounds. \n
- A good understanding of psychopharmacology and its implications in therapy. \n

- Experience working within educational settings or with school-aged populations is highly desirable. \n
- Two years of post-licensure experience in treating mood disorders is preferred. \n
- A demonstrated track record of successful client outcomes in mood disorder treatments. \n
The position offers a competitive salary range of $115,000 to $130,000 annually.
