vSAN Systems Administrator Senior

Responsibilities Perform system administration for the enterprise VMware vSAN solution. Install, configure, and maintain VMware vSAN software. Analyze and resolve problems with servers, hardware, applications, and software. Monitor system performance and ensure compliance with security standards. Evaluate availability of all server resources and perform all activities for VMware vSAN software. Configure and deploy virtual machines, manage backups, and maintain configuration procedures. Maintain and monitor all patch releases; design patch installation strategies and maintain systems per program standards. Provide tier 2/3 troubleshooting support, interfacing with end‑users and other technical teams. Maintain datastores and underlying storage infrastructure. Monitor capacity and rebalance storage for different clusters and data centers. Manage storage network for initiators and block‑storage targets. Qualifications 3+ years of related experience with VMware vSAN and vSphere administration. Hands‑on experience with virtualized storage, SAN/NAS, and storage networking. Strong Windows and/or Linux server administration skills. Troubleshooting across complex enterprise environments. Familiarity with backup and monitoring tools. Experience with automation (PowerShell/PowerCLI). Background in enterprise or multi‑site data‑center environments. Security clearance: Top Secret with SCI eligibility. Required certifications: ITIL 4 Foundation; optional Cloud+, GICSP, SSCP, Security+, GSEC, CySA+. Location: Offutt AFB, NE. Compensation Likely salary range: $85,093 – $114,425 (based on experience, location, and contract). Schedule 40 hours per week. Travel required: less than 10%. Telecommute: onsite only.
