Staff Accountant - Fixed Assets

Duties/Responsibilities Ensure fixed assets are properly accounted for by monitoring the end-to-end process including classification, useful life, acquisitions, transfers, depreciation, disposals, and reporting. Support implementation and operation of the Oracle financial suite including ERP, Planning and Budgeting and Oracle APEX Data warehouse to assist with capital expenditure reporting and audit processes. Monitor and report on CIP (Construction in Progress) and ensure timely capitalization of projects. Provide training and guidance to ensure that the review, approval, and accounting policies for Fixed assets are globally aligned and consistently applied. Ad Hoc analysis to support management programs and productivity and growth initiatives. Prepare supporting documentation and respond to inquiries for the company's quarterly, interim and year end audits, including SOX internal controls processes and procedures. Plan, coordinate count and record results of periodic fixed assets physical inventory. Implement process and technology platforms to improve reporting and controls to improve operational decision making. Required Skills/Abilities Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred. 2+ years’ experience in Accounting Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software as well as other accounting software programs. Ability to operate related office equipment, such as computers, 10-key calculator, and copier. Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment. Ability to anticipate work needs and interact professionally with customers. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
