We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support daily accounting operations in North Baltimore, Ohio. This role is ideal for someone with a solid foundation in financial recordkeeping who enjoys working accurately, meeting deadlines, and contributing to a well-organized finance team. The position offers the opportunity to handle core accounting activities while strengthening month-end and reporting skills in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities:
• Prepare and post journal entries to maintain accurate and timely financial records.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate variances to ensure data integrity.
• Process accounts payable transactions, verify supporting documentation, and help maintain vendor payment accuracy.
• Assist with month-end closing tasks, including account analysis and balance validation.
• Review financial information in spreadsheets and accounting systems to identify discrepancies and support reporting needs.
• Maintain organized accounting documentation and ensure records are complete for audit and internal review purposes.• At least 1 year of accounting experience in a staff accountant or similar role.
• Working knowledge of journal entries, general ledger activity, and accounts payable processes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data review, reconciliations, and financial tracking.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks accurately.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills in a deadline-driven environment.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work well with cross-functional teams.
