Campus Dietitian

Role Overview Registered Dietitian to provide nutrition and wellness support at Alfred University in Alfred, New York – 90 miles outside of Buffalo and 70 miles outside of Rochester. This is a fantastic opportunity to impact student health and wellness while collaborating directly with chefs on menu development and nutrition education. Relocation assistance available. What You'll Do Provide nutrition support through collaboration with executive leadership, operations, marketing, and university health centers. Oversee special dining programs (My Zone, Simple Servings, Simply3, Mindful, Vegan) by conducting regular audits and training managers and culinary teams to ensure program excellence. Serve as a campus liaison between students and dining services to accommodate dietary needs and adapt offerings to emerging nutrition trends. Establish and implement standards for client satisfaction and monitor performance against those standards. More detailed information is provided to new employees upon hire. What You Bring Registered Dietitian credentialed with CDR and CDN in NY. Expertise in dietary preferences and allergies, guiding nutritional choices accordingly. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels. Ability to engage, motivate, and influence others regarding their nutrition. Strong presentation skills. Ability to manage competing priorities and adapt to changing needs of the role. Qualifications & Requirements Minimum Education: Master’s degree with required coursework and supervised practice per the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND). For those eligible for the registration exam before 1/1/24: Bachelor’s degree with required coursework and supervised practice per the ACEND. Eligibility for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and registration within 120 days of hire. Certification or licensure as required by state of practice at the time of hire. Minimum 2 years functional experience in health care settings (hospitals, nursing homes, assisted/independent living facilities, long‑term care, retirement homes, or clinics) as a registered dietitian.
