Rhino Medical is leading the charge seeking California-licensed Physician Assistants with women’s health and OB/GYN experience for an outpatient locum tenens opportunity in Irvine, California. This assignment offers a structured weekday schedule, modern outpatient practice environment, and the opportunity to provide comprehensive women’s healthcare within a highly desirable Southern California market.

Providers will support adolescents through geriatric patient populations across routine OB/GYN care, postpartum management, office-based procedures, and preventative women’s health services.

Practice Environment

This opportunity is based within a collaborative outpatient women’s health practice serving adolescents (13+) through geriatric patients. Providers will work alongside experienced clinical staff within a modern, efficient office environment focused on continuity of care, preventative health, and comprehensive OB/GYN services.

The practice utilizes EPIC EMR across all workflows and supports structured scheduling designed to balance patient access with high-quality clinical care.

Clinical Scope

• Initial OB visits and routine prenatal care
  
  
• Postpartum visits and incision checks
  
  
• Confirmation of pregnancy greater than 7 weeks with bedside ultrasound
  
  
• Well-woman examinations for all ages
  
  
• Office-based procedures including:
  
  
  • IUD insertion and removal
    
    
  • Nexplanon insertion and removal
    
    
  • Biopsies
    
    
  • I&D procedures
    
    
  • Colposcopy
    
    
  • LEEP
    
    
  • EMB
    
    
  • Cryotherapy
    
    
  • Cervical polyp management
    
    
• Problem-focused visits including:
  • UTI
    
    
  • STI
    
    
  • Menopause
    
    
  • Hormone replacement therapy
    
    
  • Breast pain evaluation
    
    

Candidate Requirements

• Active, unrestricted California Physician Assistant license
  
  
• Women’s health and OB/GYN clinical experience required
  
  
• Minimum 2+ years of outpatient clinical experience
  
  
• EPIC EMR experience required
  
  
• DEA registration required
  
  
• BLS or ACLS certification required
  
  
• Comfortable performing office-based OB/GYN procedures independently
  
  
• Strong outpatient workflow and patient management skills preferred
