Director of NursingPosition Available: 9/22/2026Job Summary:Galveston College is a public community college with a credit enrollment of approximately 2,400 students, located on historic Galveston Island, located along the Gulf Coast of Texas.Qualifications:A master's degree in nursing from a regionally accredited college or university includes coursework in nursing practice, education, or administration.Must have a current, unencumbered, valid license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Texas and meet the Texas Board of Nursing approval standards for program director.Minimum of 8 years of experience in the field of nursing experience providing direct patient care as a registered nurse in a health care setting.A minimum of five years of experience teaching nursing in an associate degree nursing program or any equivalent combination of education and experience.A minimum of one (1) year of experience as a nurse administrator performing the manager role responsibilities consistent with a qualified administrator role in a clinical or educational setting.Preferred Qualifications:Experience working with a community college nursing program.Experience with the Texas Board of Nursing and Accrediting Commission for Education in Nursing accreditation processes.Terminal degree in Nursing, Health Sciences, or EducationAdditional Benefit: Children of Professional Nursing Program Faculty and StaffSalary: Galveston College offers full-time employees an array of benefits, including a retirement plan, health insurance, paid sick leave, vacation, and holidays.
