Description: The Emergency Room is a fast-paced environment that treats every type of patient. Emergency Room nurses manage critical care skills such as medication titrations, arterial lines, mass transfusion of blood, and chest tubes. Patients may range from urgent care cases to psych, pediatric, and critical care/trauma patients. Nurses coordinate and deliver care to patients with complex nursing care needs to ensure the highest level of safety and quality. The role promotes a positive patient experience while managing a diverse patient population.
