Responsibilities:

• Supervise and engage children in a safe, nurturing classroom environment
• Implement lesson plans and daily schedules left by the lead teacher
• Facilitate age-appropriate educational activities, play, and learning exercises
• Maintain classroom order and ensure the safety and well-being of all children
• Communicate effectively with staff and parents as needed
• Support children's social, emotional, and developmental growth
• Follow all daycare policies, procedures, and state childcare regulations

Requirements:

• Prior experience working with young children in a childcare or educational setting preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent required; early childhood education coursework a plus
• Ability to obtain or current CPR and First Aid certification
• Reliable, punctual, and flexible availability for substitute assignments
• Warm, patient, and nurturing demeanor with a genuine love for children
• Ability to pass a background check as required by NYS childcare regulations
