Staff Security Engineer - Red Team (AI)

Position : Staff Security Engineer – Red Team (AI-focused) Overview We are seeking a hands‑on Staff Security Engineer for our Red Team with deep technical expertise in AI‑driven adversary operations. You’ll develop novel Red Team capabilities, execute operations against AI‑powered systems, and collaborate with detection and threat teams to improve defenses. Responsibilities Plan, execute, and deliver Red Team, Purple Team, and other adversary emulation operations with AI focus. Scope and design operations: define objectives, target scope, success criteria, and safety controls. Develop and run emulations using platforms such as MITRE Caldera, or similar products. Execute AI‑leveraged tradecraft across enterprise environments (identity, endpoints, networks, cloud, SaaS). Partner with defenders (Detection Engineering, Threat Intelligence, Risk Management) to validate telemetry, tune detections, improve response playbooks, and close visibility gaps. Champion continuous improvement of adversarial techniques, tools, and methodologies. Required Qualifications 8+ years of offensive security operations experience. 5+ years of hands‑on experience running Red Team, Purple Team, and adversary operations in enterprise environments. Deep understanding of LLM architecture and how models process input, manage context, and generate output. Experience with AI frameworks and tools such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, Hugging Face, and LangChain. Experience with Azure, AWS, GCP, or other cloud providers. Strong knowledge of MITRE ATLAS and ATT&CK, and ability to translate TTPs into repeatable emulations. Hands‑on experience with adversary emulation platforms (e.g., building/maintaining emulations, running operations). Demonstrated operator tradecraft (C2, payload delivery, privilege escalation, lateral movement, persistence, operational security). Experience with red‑team frameworks: Cobalt Strike, Sliver, Metasploit, Empire, BloodHound. Preferred Qualifications OSCP, OSCE, CRTO, CISSP, or other relevant offensive security certifications. GIAC Penetration Testing, Red Team certifications (GCTI, GPEN, GXPN). Broad knowledge of OS security, networking, firewalls, databases, middleware, forensics, scripting, and programming. Advanced level knowledge of Linux, macOS, Windows, AWS/Azure, cloud‑native resources (containers, Kubernetes, microservices, serverless). Experience in reverse engineering mobile applications with anti‑emulator and obfuscation protections. Education Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field.
