Exciting Opportunity for High Acuity Float Pool RN (12H Nights)

Job Description:


- Shift Schedule:
- 12-hour nights: 7 PM - 7:30 AM
- Weekend requirement: 3 weekend shifts per schedule

- Unit Highlights:
- Join the High Acuity Float Pool!
- Gain diverse experience across various units:
- Critical Care Unit
- Observation
- Med Surg
- General Surgery
- Ortho Surgery
- Short Stay Surgery
- Thoracic Surgery
- Neurosurgery
- Oncology
- Telemetry
- Progressive Care


- Patient Ratios:
- Standard AACN CCU staffing with assignments of 1-2 based on acuity
- Potential for 1-3 for lower acuity assignments


- Required Skills & Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years in ICU or high acuity setting
- Experience with CRRT, Impella, ECMO, IABP preferred
- Must have EPIC and PRIOR floating experience


- Certifications Required:
- BLS (AHA)
- ACLS (AHA)
- NIHSS


- Daily Operations:
- Charge RN creates assignments, RNs choose their assignments
- Self-scheduling available
- Nurse aids typically present (1-2 depending on census)


- Equipment and Monitoring:
- Access to vents, BiPAP, CPAP, Phillips monitors
- At least 1 Monitor Tech on the unit
- RNs responsible for reading strips


- Orientation & Training:
- Comprehensive orientation including General Hospital Orientation, Myles Modules, and Cerner Validation classes


- Cancellation Policy:
- Hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment
