Position Summary Work Location: Mount Laurel, New Jersey, United States of America Hours: 40 Pay Details: $91,000 - $136,240 USD The Business Banker II services the needs of Commercial banking business, customizing a broad range of products and services to meet the financial needs of TD's customers. This role acquires, develops and manages commercial banking relationships by providing customized solutions across different commercial segments to build a strategy that is right for the customer now, and in the future with a focus on growing the portfolio by providing financial solutions and developing new business from both existing and new customers. Key Responsibilities Acquire, develop and manage commercial banking relationships, providing customized solutions across commercial segments. Originate and monitor loans of moderate size and complexity and/or support a growing Region. Structure and package practical and competitive solutions that demonstrate an understanding of financing, cash management and overall business needs to add value to the customer's portfolio. Lead the identification, pursuit and management of accounts across a product or customer segment. Apply business and financial principles to improve delivery of products and services provided. Serve as a trusted advisor with sensitivity to the customer's operating environment. Negotiate specific terms and conditions, communicate credit decisions, and ensure alignment with policy. Build and maintain a robust understanding of customer/target needs, industries and markets using sales platforms. Generate and manage referrals to internal Bank partners to meet comprehensive financial needs of TD customers. Develop and execute a clear retention plan for assigned portfolio deposits and loans within the specified territory. Accountabilities Customer Accountabilities: Responsible for growth goals (loans, deposits, fees) individually and within the team; make credit decisions based on risk assessment; deliver exceptional customer service and continuously improve the customer experience. Shareholder Accountabilities: Develop and implement sales strategies to attract, acquire and retain customers; assess credit requests; contribute to business objectives for operational excellence; ensure documentation accuracy and compliance with regulations. Employee/Team Accountabilities: Participate fully as a team member, promote a positive work environment, provide thought leadership, stay current on emerging trends, mentor others, and contribute to a diverse and inclusive environment. Qualifications 4+ year degree or equivalent experience. Understanding of commercial business development techniques and credit decisions. Business development and sales ability. Developing network of outside referral sources for new business. Strong credit and financial analysis skills. Negotiation skills. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Good PC skills.
