Responsibilities

• Acquire CT images according to protocol with emphasis on image quality and patient safety.
• Operate CT equipment, select appropriate protocols, adjust technique parameters, and monitor image quality.
• Administer contrast media as ordered and observe for adverse reactions; manage patient monitoring during procedures.
• Review orders, verify patient identity and history, and collaborate with radiologists to ensure accurate interpretation.
• Document procedures and imaging results in the electronic medical record in a timely, compliant manner.
• Adhere to ALARA principles and maintain radiation safety for patients and staff; perform routine equipment checks.

Requirements

• Active ARRT registration: R.T. (R)(CT)(ARRT) or R.T. (R)(ARRT) required.
• Advanced Certification in CT: required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor per AH policy: required.
• Fluoroscopy license in the state of employment: preferred.
• Venipuncture certification: preferred.
• Availability for night shift (1900–0730) as part of a 3x12-hour schedule and ability to work during the stated assignment period.
