Travel Perfusionist Opportunity

Heartline Staffing is seeking an experienced Travel Perfusionist for a high-acuity travel assignment. This role supports advanced cardiac surgical procedures in a fast-paced CVOR environment. The ideal candidate has strong ECMO experience and is comfortable working across adult, pediatric, and neonatal populations.

Compensation:

• 36 Hours: Gross $5,846/week | W2 $115/hr | Stipend $1,246/week
• 48 Hours: Gross $7,794/week | W2 $172.50/hr | Stipend $1,246/week
• Housing Stipend: $770/week
• Meals & Incidentals: $476/week
• Overtime: $172.50/hr
• On-Call: $5/hr
• Charge: $3/hr
• Holiday: 1.35x

Schedule:

• Day shift, 4x10
• Hours: 6:30 AM to 4:30 PM
• Call required (avg 1 day/week, 2 weekends/contract)
• Shift times may vary based on department needs

Unit Details:

• CVOR and high-acuity cardiac surgical setting
• Level 1 Trauma environment
• Adult, pediatric, and neonatal patient populations
• Experienced travelers only

Responsibilities:

• Operate and manage cardiopulmonary bypass during cardiac surgical procedures
• Independently assist with ECMO cannulation for adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients
• Support ECMO transport for patients requiring cardiopulmonary support
• Provide perfusion support across CVOR and related surgical environments
• Support complex cardiac procedures including CABG, TAVR, valve replacement, ASD/VSD repair, PDA ligation, MAZE procedure, and pericardial window
• Utilize advanced perfusion equipment and monitoring systems during surgical cases
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia, and interdisciplinary teams in high-acuity settings

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in a related field required
• Clinical Perfusionist ABCP certification required
• Active BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 5 years of perfusion experience required
• Travel experience required (no first-time travelers)
• ECMO cannulation and ECMO transport experience required
• Experience in CVOR, General OR, Pediatric CVOR, Pediatric General OR, and Level 1 Trauma settings required
• Minimum 1 year of Epic experience required
• Teaching hospital experience required
• Community hospital experience required
• Must be comfortable in fast-paced emergent cardiac environments
