Builder Operations Associate

Base is planning to bring a million developers and a billion users onchain. We need your help to make that happen. We believe that the onchain platform is the most important builder platform since the internet ("online"). We believe that the onchain platform should be open source, free to use, and globally available. And we believe that in order to make it really work, we need all hands on deck, working together to scale in a secure, decentralized, easy-to-use way. At Base, we live by our Stay Based values: we do the right thing, work hard, stay optimistic, prioritize the team, and push creative boundaries - all while building the future of onchain. We value a Zone 3+ work ethic, where our team rises to the challenge, embraces hard weeks, and makes small to significant personal tradeoffs when necessary to drive impact and innovation. Base is incubated within Coinbase and plans to progressively decentralize in the years ahead. We believe that decentralization is critical to creating an open, global crypto economy that is accessible to everyone. As a Builder Operations Associate on the Base team, you'll own the systems, support workflows, and builder experience across Base's Discord, Reddit, and other community channels. These channels are critical destinations for developers seeking technical guidance, troubleshooting support, and connection with the broader Base ecosystem. You'll ensure technical questions receive timely, accurate responses while building scalable processes that keep these communities effective and secure. What you'll do Own day-to-day technical community operations across Base Discord and Reddit, ensuring builder questions are acknowledged, triaged, and resolved consistently. Build and maintain Discord and Reddit infrastructure, including channels, roles, permissions, bots, AutoModerator rules, moderation tooling, and workflow automations. Develop reusable responses, troubleshooting guides, FAQs, and internal playbooks that improve answer quality and reduce repeated manual work. Create operational dashboards tracking response time, resolution time, ticket volume, escalation rate, recurring issue categories, and builder satisfaction. Identify opportunities to use Discord and Reddit beyond reactive support, including peer-support systems, product feedback loops, and builder recognition. Required Skills and Experience 3+ years in technical community operations, developer support, DevRel operations, or a related role, ideally within crypto, open-source software, or developer platforms. Hands‑on experience administering large Discord communities, including bots, roles, permissions, channel architecture, integrations, and workflow automation.
