Residential HVAC Apprentice Installers

Job Description Job Description · Back up the lead installer, carry out the instructions of the lead installer. · Perform an effective pre-installation and post-installation clean up. · Help ensure the correct equipment and materials are on site. The more experience the helper has, the more responsibility he has in ensuring everything is correct. This includes contents of totes, model/serial numbers for equipment. · Be able to fully install an AC (more experienced helpers) · Be able to handle the small inside work: conduct bootseal, hang thermostat, hang smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors. · Set up ladders and be available and able to help lifts. · Ability to understand a ductmap and be able to draw one up themselves (more experienced helpers) · Willingness to work long hours, able to handle difficult working environments such as heat, cramped areas or rooftops. · Understanding of safety requirements and ability to adhere to them. · People skills · Reliability · Demonstrate an ability to learn and advance. · Neat, professional appearance and bearing. · Ability to pick up the beginning tasks quickly and effectively, demonstrated tendency to further assist on job, learn new skills. · Job focus, not wasting time or disappearing during job.
