Casual Laborer

Elberta Valley Ag is now hiring seasonal Casual Laborers to join our dairy farm team!

Summary:

AgReserves is seeking experienced and dependable Casual Laborers to assist with general ranch support tasks during busy times. This is a seasonal role, and hours will vary based on operational needs.

Responsibilities:

• Help during works, including marking, branding, weaning, and shipping.
• Assist in daily cattle care including feeding, watering, and basic health checks.
• Adhere to all industry, company and local ranch policies and procedures.
• Upkeep ranch appearance by repairing farm buildings, fences, and other structures.
• Operate farm and heavy equipment such as tractors, skid loader, and trucks.
• Safely perform tasks assigned. Daily work may include independent tasks and collaborative teamwork.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Available to work on an as-needed basis.
• Safely and proficiently work cattle on horseback, while following company's animal husbandry/welfare policies.
• Safely and efficiently gather cattle in pasture and works cattle in corrals/pens, adhering to low-stress principles.
• Be punctual, respectful, and safety-conscious.
