Hyundai Rotem Smart Electric America (HRSEA) is at the forefront of transforming public transportation through cutting-edge electric rail systems. As a subsidiary of Hyundai Rotem USA, we specialize in developing and maintaining advanced rolling stock, including electric multiple units (EMUs), high-speed trains, and eco-friendly hydrogen-powered vehicles. We also supply critical systems such as traction power units and engines , ensuring reliable propulsion for rail vehicles across North America. We're expanding our team to support exciting new projects and deliver smart solutions for modern transit.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform PC-based administrative tasks related to production management, including production schedule tracking, status updates, data entry, and basic reporting.
- Support daily production control activities to ensure production schedules, workflow, and on-site operations are properly managed.
- Assist in establishing, maintaining, and improving a more organized production management system.
- Monitor technician assignments, work progress, attendance, and operational efficiency.
- Coordinate technician workflow and help ensure appropriate coverage for production activities.
- Support effective communication between production management, technicians, and other internal teams.
- Assist with assembly and testing of HRSEA production products while performing production management duties.
- Provide backup support for assembly and testing work when technicians are unavailable.
- Help reduce production delays and production loss by improving workflow coordination and technician coverage.
- Identify production-related issues and communicate them to management in a timely manner.
- Support continuous improvement of production control processes and on-site operational efficiency.
- Perform other production-related duties as assigned .
Experience / Skill Requirements
- 3 to 5 years of experience in production management, production control, manufacturing operations, or a related field.
- Experience coordinating or supervising technician-level staff in a production or manufacturing environment preferred.
- Ability to perform both administrative production management duties and hands-on production support, including assembly, testing, or related manufacturing processes.
- Proficiency in basic PC applications, including Microsoft Excel, Outlook, data entry, and reporting.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively with technicians, management, and cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
