Title VFX Artist III Industry Gaming Location Santa Monica, CA Duration 6 months Responsibilities Create high-quality stylized real-time visual effects for action combat gameplay in collaboration with Animators, Technical Artists, and Game Designers. Design VFX that deliver both strong visual impact and gameplay clarity within complex combat environments. Rapidly concept, prototype, iterate, and implement VFX solutions in a fast-paced R&D environment. Utilize both 2D and 3D content creation workflows to support and enhance in-engine visual effects. Develop creative solutions to challenging gameplay and visual communication problems. Requirements 5+ years of experience creating real-time visual effects for games. Proficiency with Unity, Unreal Engine, or comparable real-time VFX tools and workflows. Experience developing games for mobile, console, or other real-time platforms. Strong understanding of optimization techniques and performance-conscious VFX development. Deep knowledge of visual hierarchy, readability, and player-focused visual communication within gameplay environments.
