Travel RN - Medical ICU

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical ICU (MICU) night shift position requiring at least 1 year of ICU experience and an active SC or Compact RN license.

Job Details

• Work setting is an acute care hospital with 276 staffed beds,
• Assignment is in the Medical ICU (MICU),
• Patient ratio is 1:2,
• Schedule is 3x12-hour night shifts, 7p-7a,
• Every other weekend is required,
• Holiday rotation is required,
• Floating within scope to like units is required, with travelers floating first,
• Charting is done in Epic,
• No on-call responsibilities,

Job Requirements

• Active SC RN license or Compact RN license; candidates with a pending SC license may be considered but must have it in hand prior to start,
• Current AHA certifications required: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS,
• Minimum 1 year of MICU experience required (2 years preferred),
• SSN and Driver's License required for consideration,
• 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration,

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are not accepted for this position,
• Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position,
• Previous permanent or PRN staff at any MUSC location must have been separated from the system for at least 1 year before being eligible to work as a traveler,
• All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed upfront, as approval is based on facility needs,
• Orientation modules are completed prior to the start date,
• Royal blue scrubs are required,
• Parking is provided at no cost
